About the Role
Lifeline WA provides all Western Australians experiencing a personal crisis or thinking about suicide with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. Reporting to the CFO, the Volunteer Strategy Implementation Manager will project manage the full implementation of Lifeline WA’s VMS
  
This specialist position is crucial to:
  • Execute the Volunteer Management Plan:  With the strategy already in place and implementation underway, the key focus is to implement the plan in alignment with Lifeline WA’s culture and values.
  • Champion Change Management:  Drive cultural transformation and gain stakeholder buy-in to achieve successful implementation.
  • Influence:  Build relationships and influence a broad array of stakeholders, ensuring volunteers are recognised as strategic assets and unique individuals.
  • Develop Key Systems and Processes:  Create procedures and policies that ensure clear accountabilities and support a collaborative culture.
  • Design and Test Targets and ROI:  Strategically manage risks and dependencies to deliver the plan within the required timeframe.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of VMS plans and systems to enhance volunteer engagement and recognition.
  • Develop and implement VMS systems, processes, and policies to create clear accountabilities and a collaborative organisational culture.
  • Review and refine organisational structures to effectively deliver VMS outcomes.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with volunteer managers, senior leaders, the VMS Board, and external partners, including Lifeline Australia.
  • Champion change management initiatives, fostering cultural transformation across the organisation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and decision-makers, ensuring strategic alignment and engagement.
  
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven Project Management Expertise:  A strong track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget, ideally within volunteer management or similar environments.
  • Change Management Skills:  Ability to influence and drive change, securing stakeholder buy-in to achieve strategic goals.
  • Specialist Volunteer Experience:  Experience in volunteer management or a deep understanding of volunteer management systems to navigate complex dynamics.
  • Excellent Communication Skills:  Ability to effectively convey key information to stakeholders, including senior leadership and operational teams.
  • Autonomous Leadership:  A proactive professional who thrives in a highly autonomous, stand-alone role.
  • Technical Proficiency:  Experience with system integration APIs and strong MS Office skills.
  • Qualifications:  Formal qualifications in project management or a relevant field are highly regarded.
