What this role looks like
You’ll step into a senior, hands-on business partnering position where you’ll work closely with operational, mobilisation and corporate leaders. This is a role for someone who is confident operating independently, can quickly build credibility, and is comfortable navigating complex people matters with clarity and professionalism.
Your focus will span the full employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on ER, compliance and leader capability.
Key areas of responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end management of performance, conduct, grievance and investigation matters
- Provide clear, practical advice on the Fair Work Act, NES, Awards and contractual obligations
- Coach leaders to lift capability and embed consistent people practices
- Oversee core HR processes including probation, performance and development planning
- Work closely with HSEQT teams on psychosocial safety, fatigue management and WHS-aligned people systems
- Support organisational change, workforce planning and role design activities
- Contribute to policy development, system improvements and broader P&C projects
- Build strong relationships across multiple sites and stakeholder groups
- Proven capability managing complex ER matters with confidence and sound judgement
- Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES and Award interpretation
- Ability to translate legislation into practical, operationally relevant advice
- Skilled communicator who can influence, guide and support leaders at all levels
- Understanding of WHS-aligned people practices, including psychosocial risk
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and comfort working with autonomy
- Senior-level autonomy with genuine influence across the business
