An established and forward-thinking accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its high-performing team. In this role, you will drive business performance by delivering high-quality advisory, accounting, and tax services while mentoring and supporting your team. You’ll maintain strong workflow management and engage positively with clients to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in business advisory and strategic planning engagements
  • Prepare taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies
  • Prepare financial statements for boards, management, shareholders, and statutory bodies
  • Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets and forecasts
  • Financial reporting, cashflows, budgeting, and analysis
  • Review operating costs, income, and expenditure
  • Provide assurance on financial report accuracy and compliance
  • Lead and mentor a team of accountants to achieve productivity and workflow goals
  • Identify opportunities to grow the client portfolio and strengthen relationships
   
About You
  • CA/CPA qualified (or in progress) with a Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting
  • Business advisory experience (highly regarded)
  • Strong proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and MS Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare financial statements, reports, and projections
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, legislation, and current tax reforms
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, workflows, and KPIs
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
