Are you an organised, people-focused administrator who loves making things happen?
We’re looking for a Respite Support Officer to join our not-for-profit client in East Perth. If successful, you will help coordinate two respite properties across Perth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys juggling schedules, keeping things organised, solving problems and providing genuinely great customer service — all while knowing your work directly supports carers and families in our community.
You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and administration of our two respite locations, including:
- Managing respite bookings and schedules in liaison with internal teams.
- Communicating directly with carers about their bookings and providing friendly, responsive customer service.
- Completing booking, service and property documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Navigating internal systems and keeping records up to date.
- Coordinating with our Facilities and Maintenance teams to ensure properties are safe, functional and ready for use.
- Tracking invoices and creating purchase orders.
- Identifying issues and following them through to resolution.
- Supporting the wider team with administration and coordination tasks as required.
- Previous experience in scheduling, bookings, coordination or administration.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and keeping track of details.
- The ability to communicate professionally and warmly with clients and carers over the phone.
- Confidence navigating different internal systems and processes.
- Good written communication and documentation skills.
- The ability to work independently while also being a positive and collaborative team member.
- Experience working in community services, disability, aged care, carer support or another people-focused environment would be highly regarded, but we’re also interested in hearing from great administrators who are passionate about making a difference.
The hours This is a 0.8 FTE position (approximately 30 hours per week).
We need someone who is available to work Mondays and Fridays, with some flexibility around the remaining hours. We would consider a school-hours arrangement for the right person.
The position is offered on a fixed-term basis until the end of June 2027, with a probable extension so all considered candidates will need to have full working rights.
Interviews are expected to commence in the next few weeks so please apply today!
