Are you an experienced project manager with a talent for driving systems change, engaging stakeholders, and delivering real business impact?

Step into this exciting new role and lead the implementation of a cutting-edge, enterprise-wide Travel Management System (TMS).

This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming how travel is managed in a large organisation—enhancing efficiency, ensuring compliance, and delivering a seamless user experience across all faculties and departments.

As Project Manager, you’ll oversee the entire lifecycle of the new TMS—from planning and configuration to rollout, training, and post-go-live support. You’ll act as the central point of coordination between internal stakeholders, the Travel Management Company, IT, and system vendors.

This role is ideal for a dynamic professional who can bridge finance, procurement, and technology—and thrives in environments that require clear communication, change leadership, and effective cross-functional delivery.

This is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract, based just outside the Perth CBD. Flexible working arrangements are offered, along with on-site paid parking.
Salary between 120-140k + super

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of the new Travel Management System.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, IT, People & Culture, and academic departments to ensure travel needs are met and compliance is achieved.
  • Work closely with the selected TMC to ensure successful configuration, integration, and rollout.
  • Develop and manage change management and communication strategies to ensure adoption and user engagement.
  • Coordinate system testing, training, documentation, and support mechanisms.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and deliver continuous improvement post-launch.
About You
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing complex system implementations—ideally in travel, procurement, finance, or enterprise platforms.
  • Familiarity with travel systems, expense tools, or finance-related platforms would be an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • A track record of driving projects in complex environments such as universities, government, or large enterprises.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, and user training best practices.
