This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming how travel is managed in a large organisation—enhancing efficiency, ensuring compliance, and delivering a seamless user experience across all faculties and departments.
As Project Manager, you’ll oversee the entire lifecycle of the new TMS—from planning and configuration to rollout, training, and post-go-live support. You’ll act as the central point of coordination between internal stakeholders, the Travel Management Company, IT, and system vendors.

This is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract, based just outside the Perth CBD. Flexible working arrangements are offered, along with on-site paid parking.
Salary between 120-140k + super
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the new Travel Management System.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, IT, People & Culture, and academic departments to ensure travel needs are met and compliance is achieved.
- Work closely with the selected TMC to ensure successful configuration, integration, and rollout.
- Develop and manage change management and communication strategies to ensure adoption and user engagement.
- Coordinate system testing, training, documentation, and support mechanisms.
- Monitor key performance indicators and deliver continuous improvement post-launch.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience managing complex system implementations—ideally in travel, procurement, finance, or enterprise platforms.
- Familiarity with travel systems, expense tools, or finance-related platforms would be an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A track record of driving projects in complex environments such as universities, government, or large enterprises.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, and user training best practices.
