Looking to kickstart your payroll career? Our resource client is seeking a Payroll Officer with 6–18 months of experience to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role with excellent training, mentorship, and learning opportunities for someone eager to expand their payroll expertise. This is a full time permanent opportunity based in West Perth. 2 days WFH option is provided.

Key Duties:

  • Act as the primary contact for payroll enquiries (fortnightly, monthly, year-end).
  • Process payroll for corporate staff and employees under Enterprise Agreements.
  • Calculate and pay wages, allowances, deductions, and expense claims.
  • Prepare and lodge statutory obligations, including PAYG, superannuation, and insurances.
  • Support employees and managers on payroll matters.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and coordinate with external payroll providers.
  • Assist with audits and reconciliations for payroll accounts.
  • Collaborate with HR to improve payroll processes and ensure compliance.
What You Bring:
  • 6–18 months payroll or related experience.
  • Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, and taxation.
  • Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive team environment.
