We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Officer
on a permanent part-time basis (0.6 FTE). Our client is a not-for-profit based in Nedlands.

About the Role As our Payroll Officer, you’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You’ll also support related functions such as onboarding, terminations, leave management, and reporting, while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and data integrity.
This role will see you working closely with our People & Culture and Finance teams, providing advice, interpreting modern awards, and ensuring compliance across all payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and within set timeframes
- Maintain employee records, including new starters, variations, and terminations
- Interpret and apply modern awards and conditions
- Manage superannuation payments and liaise with relevant entities
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and assist with audits
- Respond to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy
To be successful, you will have:
- 3+ years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Office
- The ability to interpret modern Awards and provide accurate advice
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A high level of integrity and confidentiality
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
