In this role, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for employee enquiries, help keep employment documentation organised and compliant, and support the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding and probation through to performance reviews, development and engagement activities.
You’ll also play a key part in coordinating training, ensuring compliance, and helping employees feel supported and connected. You’ll get involved in planning quarterly team meetings, liaising with internal stakeholders, and keeping training and development on track.
What you’ll be doing day‑to‑day
- Supporting employees with friendly, timely and knowledgeable HR guidance
- Coordinating onboarding, probation check‑ins and performance review processes
- Keeping employment records accurate, compliant and up to date
- Managing training requirements, refresher modules and professional development activities
- Helping deliver engagement initiatives that build connection and culture
- Organising quarterly caregiver/team meetings and sourcing speakers
- Supporting WHS processes including incident reporting, WorkCover and return‑to‑work
- Providing occasional after‑hours phone support when needed
- Pitching in across the team to help achieve shared goals
- HR qualification or currently working towards one (highly regarded)
- Experience in HR, recruitment or people operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and confidence managing documentation and compliance
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities with a calm, organised approach
- A proactive, ethical and people‑focused mindset
- Solid admin skills and strong computer literacy
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
