Why this role matters
We’re looking for a pragmatic, grounded People & Culture Lead who can rebrand the P&C function into a trusted, supportive, and helpful resource for the business. This role is about building credibility, simplifying processes, and showing the organisation what great P&C partnership looks like.
You’ll work closely with the Chief Business Officer and leadership team, influencing from the top down while staying connected to the day‑to‑day realities of a growing organisation. This is a true generalist role with plenty of scope to shape, build, and elevate.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the People & Culture function end‑to‑end, bringing clarity, structure, and a service‑oriented mindset
- Build trust by being visible, supportive, and solutions‑focused
- Designing and documenting processes that are simple, scalable, and fit for purpose
- Providing pragmatic advice across all areas of the business — and knowing when to seek specialist support
- Supporting leaders to build capability, engagement, and a positive employee experience
- Experience leading an HR or P&C function (industry background flexible)
- A pragmatic, grounded approach — you know what matters and what doesn’t
- Strong generalist capability across the full employee lifecycle
- Confidence presenting to committees and senior stakeholders
- Process orientation and excellent documentation skills
- Humility and self‑awareness — you know what you don’t know and aren’t afraid to ask
