WARRRL (WA Return Recycle Renew Ltd), the not-for-profit organisation behind Containers for Change, is committed to delivering meaningful environmental and social outcomes across Western Australia. We're seeking an experienced and influential leader to join as Head of Network Delivery, responsible for overseeing one of the State's largest and most important recycling and recovery networks. This position has end to end accountability for network performance, partner relationships, operational excellence and achievement of container recovery outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role will oversee a diverse network of Refund Point Operators (RPOs), logistics providers, processors, MRFs and recyclers, ensuring the network delivers against performance, compliance, safety and recovery targets.

This is a strategic leadership role with significant influence across the organisation. You'll translate organisational strategy into operational outcomes, lead key initiatives that strengthen circular economy outcomes, and ensure the network remains efficient, sustainable and fit for future growth. You'll manage network performance, oversee budgets and forecasts, drive continuous improvement and act as a senior escalation point for critical operational issues.

Success in this role requires balancing commercial outcomes, stakeholder expectations, regulatory obligations and operational performance. You'll work closely with internal teams across Growth, Assurance & Integrity, Commercial and Marketing, while building strong and trusted partnerships across the external network

About You

You're an accomplished operational leader with experience leading transport, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, processing, resource recovery or other complex operational environments. You understand the commercial realities of running large scale operations through partners and contractors, where margins can be tight, costs must be carefully managed, and operational performance is driven through strong relationships, accountability and continuous improvement.

You combine strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen and know how to drive performance through influence, accountability and partnership. You have a track record of leading teams, managing budgets and building productive stakeholder relationships in environments where safety, compliance and operational excellence are critical.

You are comfortable navigating competing priorities, resolving complex issues and leading through change. Most importantly, you're a values-driven leader who can inspire teams, foster collaboration and deliver outcomes that create lasting impact.

Why Join WARRRL?

WARRRL exists to deliver lasting environmental and social impact through Western Australia's container deposit scheme Containers for Change. As a mission led organisation with a powerful statewide network, we are values driven, community minded and committed to excellence. You'll join a tight knit executive team and have real influence on how the organisation operates and delivers on its purpose.

What's in it for You?

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of Western Australia's most significant operational and sustainability networks. You'll have the autonomy to influence strategy, drive meaningful performance outcomes and lead a highly visible portfolio.

You'll join a collaborative leadership team, work with passionate stakeholders across the recycling ecosystem and have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on environmental outcomes across the State.
