WARRRL (WA Return Recycle Renew Ltd), the not for profit organisation behind Containers for Change, is committed to driving sustainability outcomes across Western Australia. We're looking for a strategic and operationally minded leader to step into the role of Head of Business Services, a key executive role that ensures the right systems, processes, and partnerships are in place to keep the business running smoothly and effectively.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Business Officer (CBO), this role oversees a diverse portfolio including corporate services, procurement, policy, project governance, and business systems. You'll be responsible for enabling high quality operations and informed decision making across the organisation ensuring business infrastructure is efficient, secure, and aligned with WARRRL's strategic direction.
You'll manage key external partnerships, oversee internal planning and procurement processes, and provide operational leadership across multiple functions. While you'll work closely with teams delivering cyber and IT projects, the technical heavy lifting is handled by specialists, your focus is on leading outcomes, managing relationships, and driving accountability. You'll also develop an asset lifecycle framework, improve service delivery, and ensure compliance with governance obligations.
This is a hands on, future focused leadership role that blends strategic oversight with day to day operational delivery, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on solving problems, and knows how to bring clarity to complexity.
You're a collaborative and commercially minded leader who brings a broad view of business operations and corporate governance. You understand what good procurement, planning, and policy looks like, and you know how to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and get things done.
You'll likely come from a background in operations, corporate services, commercial project delivery, or business improvement and you're comfortable working with both people and systems. Most importantly, you're someone who can lead with purpose, inspire a high performing team, and build trust across a wide internal and external stakeholder network and you don't need to have a technical IT background.
