to join a purpose-driven organisation committed to community wellbeing and resilience.
This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a trusted not-for-profit that supports suicide prevention in Western Australia. You’ll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to ensure best-practice governance frameworks are in place, driving operational excellence and strategic compliance.
As the Governance Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the organisation’s governance and risk management frameworks, policy review processes, and Board operations. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for driving positive organisational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support the review and implementation of governance initiatives, including risk and business continuity frameworks
- Review and update strategic and corporate policies, contributing to ongoing process improvement
- Support and embed governance and risk practices across the organisation
- Provide Company Secretary support—prepare agendas, take minutes, and manage Board and Committee meeting processes
- Assist with gathering system requirements and interpreting reports to support informed decision-making
- A strong background in governance and risk, ideally with at least 2 years of experience in a governance-focused role
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and review detailed reports and governance documentation
- High-level skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with databases or information systems
- Salesforce experience will be highly regarded.
