Child Australia is seeking an exceptional leader to join their Executive Leadership Team as Executive Director – Practice & Impact. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role leads service excellence, growth and innovation across our Early Learning Centres, Outside School Hours Care, and Sector Development programs throughout WA and NT.
About the Role
This pivotal role provides strategic and operational leadership across a large, multi-site network of services. You’ll shape organisational performance through quality, compliance and sustainability while ensuring measurable outcomes for children, families and communities.
Key accountabilities include:
- Leading service delivery and operational excellence across all early learning and care programs.
- Ensuring compliance with National Quality Standards (NQS) and driving continuous improvement.
- Overseeing funded programs and partnerships with government and community stakeholders.
- Leading sector development, consultancy, and professional learning initiatives.
- Managing financial performance, budgets, and operational risk.
- Identifying and delivering growth opportunities through service expansion and strategic partnerships.
You’re an inspiring, values driven and engaging leader who can build, develop, and empower high performing teams. You bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (education, early childhood, leadership, or management).
- Deep knowledge of the early childhood or broader community services sector and contemporary ECEC policy and practice.
- Proven success in leading multi-site teams and complex programs.
- Strong financial, governance, and risk management capability.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- A collaborative, calm and resilient leadership style.
