a&co Recruitment is proud to partner with the City of Karratha in seeking a highly organised and discreet Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to the Chief Executive Officer and Mayor.
This pivotal role will suit an individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for the Office of the CEO and Mayor, ensuring seamless coordination, communication, and delivery of civic and executive functions. This is a full time permanent position based out of Karratha.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level, confidential administrative and executive support to the CEO and Mayor
- Manage complex diaries, appointments, correspondence, and travel arrangements
- Prepare professional reports, briefings, agendas, and minutes to a high standard
- Coordinate civic events, meetings, and official functions with excellence and protocol
- Liaise effectively with internal departments, Council members, and external stakeholders
- Assist with speeches, communications, and media statements in collaboration with Marketing & Communications
- Monitor and manage budgets, purchasing, and credit card reconciliations
- Support Council meetings and ensure the CEO and Mayor are fully briefed and prepared
- Undertake confidential research, drafting, and follow-up actions
- Contribute to a professional, efficient, and service-oriented executive office
- Experienced Executive Assistant supporting C-suite or senior leadership
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, discretion, and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency and strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritise competing demands with sound judgment and professionalism
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration (desirable)
- Current National Police Clearance and C Class Driver’s Licence
