- Empower and mentor a team of Employee Relations specialists—building capability, consistency, and confidence while modelling high-integrity, people-first leadership.
- Oversee the flow of employee relations matters, allocating work based on urgency and complexity while ensuring the team is supported from first contact through to resolution.
- Personally lead escalated or high-risk employee relations matters, applying strong judgement, procedural fairness, and a trauma-informed approach.
- Ensure all ER processes align with the Fair Work Act, enterprise agreements, safety requirements, and internal policies—delivering defensible, transparent, and trusted outcomes.
- Manage relationships with external partners, ensuring any support they provide meets strict quality standards and is used only when appropriate.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold rigorous reporting standards suitable for internal, legal, or regulatory review.
- Provide data-driven insights and trend analysis to identify systemic issues and influence proactive cultural, safety, and compliance improvements across the organisation.
- A values-driven leader with a passion for coaching and developing high-performing employee relations teams.
- Proven experience managing complex or sensitive workplace matters, ideally within fast-paced, high-risk, or unionised environments.
- Strong working knowledge of workplace legislation, enterprise agreements, and procedural fairness principles.
- An exceptional communicator able to build trusted relationships at every level of the organisation.
- Confident in preparing clear, compelling reports and presenting findings to senior decision-makers.
- Skilled in trauma-informed approaches and committed to supporting safe, respectful workplace interactions.
- Relevant qualifications in HR, employee relations, or a related discipline.
