- Senior Finance Leadership Opportunity

With full accountability for the ANZ finance function, this key leadership position provides strategic partnership to the Country Leadership Team while acting as the key finance liaison with the APAC CFO and regional stakeholders.
About the Role
Reporting to the APAC CFO and partnering closely with the ANZ leadership team, you will have end-to-end responsibility for financial performance, governance, cash flow optimisation, financial planning, and finance operations across Australia and New Zealand.
You will lead a local finance team while overseeing the effective delivery of transactional finance activities through a Shared Services model, ensuring strong controls, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities include:
Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with ANZ leadership to support business strategy, growth initiatives, and commercial decision-making
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Deliver meaningful financial insights that drive profitability and performance improvements
- Support strategic projects, investment decisions, and business transformation initiatives
- Own the ANZ P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow performance
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
- Drive financial analysis, variance reporting, and performance monitoring
- Improve margins, cost discipline, and working capital outcomes
- Govern and optimise the finance Shared Services model supporting ANZ
- Ensure SLA delivery across AP, AR, and GL processes
- Act as the primary escalation point between ANZ and offshore finance teams
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and service quality enhancements
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, taxation, and internal control requirements
- Lead audit relationships and risk management
- Maintain robust controls across both local and shared-service operations
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital performance
- Partner with Group Treasury on FX exposure management and hedging strategies
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing ANZ finance team
- Build capability across both local and shared services teams
What we’re looking for:
You are an accomplished finance leader with a track record of delivering commercial outcomes while maintaining strong financial governance in complex multinational businesses.
- 10+ years' finance leadership experience within multinational organisations
- Proven success leading a country, division, or business unit finance function
- Strong background across:
- Commercial finance and business partnering
- Financial reporting and control
- Working capital optimisation and cash management
- Demonstrated experience managing or governing shared services/offshore finance models (essential)
- Industry exposure within manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG, or other supply-chain intensive sectors highly regarded
Your Technical Capability
- CA or CPA qualified (MBA advantageous)
- Advanced SAP experience
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
- Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or QlikSense
- Strong understanding of treasury, FX management, internal controls, and risk management
