This is a highly visible role focused on building and strengthening referral pathways across the aged care and community services sector.
You'll be responsible for developing strong relationships with support coordinators, hospitals, health professionals, discharge planners, community organisations and other key referral partners, ensuring the organisation remains a trusted provider of choice within the market.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll also contribute to growth strategies, market intelligence and business development initiatives that support ongoing expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Referral Growth
- Identify, develop and secure new referral opportunities across the aged care and community services sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of referral sources and strategic partnerships.
- Develop sustainable referral pathways that contribute to organisational growth.
- Represent the organisation at networking events, industry forums and community engagement activities.
- Build trusted relationships with health professionals, community organisations, support services and key stakeholders.
- Maintain regular engagement with referral partners to strengthen market presence and referral activity.
- Act as a key ambassador for the organisation within the aged care sector.
- Promote services confidently and professionally to prospective referrers and stakeholders.
- Monitor aged care reforms, Support at Home changes, funding models and market trends.
- Provide market insights and sector intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify emerging opportunities for service growth and market expansion.
- Contribute to business planning and organisational growth initiatives.
- Maintain accurate stakeholder and referral records.
- Track referral activity and conversion outcomes.
- Provide regular reporting and updates on pipeline activity, stakeholder engagement and growth opportunities.
- Ensure all activities align with quality standards, policies and compliance requirements.
- Proven business development, account management, stakeholder engagement or relationship management experience.
- Strong networks or experience working within aged care, home care, community services, disability services or healthcare.
- Demonstrated success in generating referrals, developing partnerships and contributing to organisational growth.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Strong presentation, communication and networking capability.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong internal collaboration.
- Experience using CRM systems and managing sales or referral pipelines.
