Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Services Officer (CSO) is responsible for the integrated leadership and management of all service delivery areas. You will drive operational excellence, champion client-centred service models, and ensure that all services meet or exceed contractual, regulatory, and internal performance requirements.
You will lead a large, multidisciplinary team across a range of programmes and sectors, fostering a values-driven, high-performance culture that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. A critical part of your role will be ensuring operational performance against KPIs, service level agreements (SLAs), and funding obligations — keeping client satisfaction and quality outcomes at the heart of every decision.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the development, integration, and continuous improvement of Communicare’s service delivery models
- Inspire and mentor leaders and teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, client-focused services that meet and exceed KPIs and service standards
- Champion a culture of performance, accountability, and values-driven leadership at all levels
- Oversee operational planning, budget management, resource allocation, and service reporting, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and funding requirements
- Identify and drive opportunities for growth, diversification, and partnerships that enhance Communicare’s reach and impact
- Develop and manage clear frameworks for monitoring, measuring, and reporting service delivery performance
- Build strong, influential relationships with government agencies, corporate partners, sector bodies, and community stakeholders
- Represent Communicare at key external forums, strengthening our voice, visibility, and influence within the sector
What We’re Looking For
- Proven executive leadership experience delivering complex human services in the community services, not-for-profit, or social impact sectors
- A successful track record of driving operational excellence, managing service delivery performance against KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations
- Strong strategic, commercial, and financial acumen, with the ability to balance mission-driven goals with organisational sustainability
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to inspire, empower and lead multidisciplinary teams through change and growth
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and advocacy skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
- Expertise in service innovation, quality frameworks, tendering, contract management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Business or a related field
- A Working With Children Check and a current unrestricted driver’s licence are required
