An opportunity is available for an experienced Business Unit Coordinator to join a large, state-wide organisation operating within the utilities and essential services sector. This role will see you providing high-level administrative and coordination support to a Business Unit Manager and leadership team within a complex, fast-paced environment. This is a temporary assignment commencing ASAP until end of financial year. There is potential for extension for the right candidate.
  
Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all administrative functions across the Business Unit. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, providing proactive, efficient and confidential support to senior leaders and ensuring business operations run smoothly without the need for constant supervision.
  
Key responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver end-to-end administrative support across the Business Unit
  • Manage correspondence, ministerial-related activities, scheduling and complex diary management for the leadership team
  • Support management with recruitment and selection processes for administration roles
  • Guide and influence administrative practices across the Business Unit, including delegating work and contributing to performance agreements
  • Lead and develop the administration function, ensuring knowledge sharing and alignment with corporate and group requirements
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, committees and key business partners
  • Coordinate information and documentation for Board, Executive and Committee meetings
   
About you
  • Substantial experience in a senior administration or coordination role within a large, complex or state-wide organisation
  • Strong knowledge of Board, Executive and Committee meeting procedures and protocols
  • Proven ability to work autonomously while supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-developed communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to lead, guide and support administrative functions within a business unit
