The Role
Working as part of a structured and supportive team, you’ll manage your own portfolio while gaining exposure across a broad range of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring proper documentation for all transactions.
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Preparing and submitting payroll on a regular schedule.
- Managing tax filings, including BAS/IAS and liaising with the Australian Taxation Office as required.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assisting with the preparation of interim and annual financial reports.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external auditors as required.
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the mining or resources industry.
- Experience in the mining or resources industry is preferred but we welcome candidates from other sectors who meet the technical requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices and software (e.g. Xero or MYOB) is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have full working rights.
