Join a well regarded professional services firm known for delivering exceptional client outcomes and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to play a key role in managing the firm’s credit function and maintaining strong client relationships.
  
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining a strong client focus. This is a hands-on role where you will partner with internal stakeholders and directly contribute to the financial health of the business.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and follow up outstanding accounts, including escalations, payment negotiations, and debt recovery coordination
  • Prepare and issue reminder notices, statements, and letters of demand
  • Monitor and manage instalment arrangements and proactively resolve overdue accounts
  • Liaise with Partners, fee earners, and clients to address account queries and drive payment outcomes
  • Reconcile bank statements, process receipts, and manage credit balances and refunds
  • Prepare reports, account analyses, and write-off schedules in line with company policy
  • Oversee daily receipting and support AR inbox and query management
  • Assist with credit control strategy, process improvements, and system optimisation
  • Support training and mentoring of junior team members
  
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • 4+ years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role
  • Experience within a professional services environment (highly regarded)
  • Understanding of trust accounting or legal environments (advantageous)
  • Strong intermediate Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
