This position plays a key role in the efficient operation of the finance function while also serving as the first point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad scope of duties, including:
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts payable – invoice processing, approvals, payment tracking and reconciliations
- Backup support for accounts receivable and payroll functions
- Monitoring and recording inventory transactions and cost allocations
- Assisting with statutory reporting and compliance requirements
- Manage reception duties, including client liaison, call management and receipt of deliveries
- Coordinating group administration functions including credit card processing, vehicle administration, travel bookings, uniforms, events, and security registers
- Undertake additional finance and administrative tasks as required
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping and administration roles
- Demonstrated capability in accounts payable and office administration
- High attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional approach
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with MYOB highly regarded
