This is a hands-on role where you'll oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting functions while supporting the business with timely reporting and insights.
Whilst you will be part of the Finance team you will be directly supporting the Executive Director.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of end-of-month accounts, reports, and board reporting
- Annual budget preparation and support for statutory accounting and tax reporting
- Management of payroll (weekly), accounts payable and receivable
- Preparation and lodgment of statutory obligations including BAS, FBT, IAS, Workcover, and payroll tax
- Monitoring cash flow and debtor management
- Maintaining fixed asset registers, job costing, and GL reconciliations
- Preparing dashboards and efficiency reporting
- Providing ad-hoc financial support as required
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business (CPA/CA highly regarded)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Proven experience with end-to-end payroll processes
- Background in the construction industry and/or SME environment (advantageous)
- Proficiency in MYOB (highly regarded) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
